Course Description:
This workshop will focus on best practices for ketogenic diet (KD) implementation, time-restricted feeding (TRF), ketone monitoring, glucose monitoring, cardiometabolic biomarker monitoring, supplement considerations, and potential side effects. Emphasis will be on strategies that can improve systemic health and immune health through metabolic optimization. The information provided will cover adjusting macronutrient ratios and meal timing (TRF) to shift metabolic physiology into a therapeutic state. The ketogenic diet is defined by the absence or presence of ketones measured in urine, blood, or breath. The Pros and Cons of ketone monitoring technologies will be discussed. In addition, questions will be addressed on the topic of side effects, beneficial supplements, and how to best adapt this approach as a lifestyle for health and longevity.
