Course Description:
The oral microbiome is more than just a collection of bacteria in the mouth—it serves as a key regulator of systemic health. This lecture will explore the deep connections between oral microbial balance and overall well-being, highlighting its influence on cardiovascular, immune, and metabolic function. We’ll discuss how disruptions in the oral microbiome contribute to chronic disease and how key mechanisms, including nitric oxide production, inflammation control, and immune modulation, bridge the gap between oral and systemic health. Attendees will comprehensively understand why oral health is essential for maintaining whole-body balance and the practical steps to support it.
