Course Description:

The research is clear. Heart attacks are the number one killer, and strokes are the number one disabler. SilverStaff Clinical Laboratories will present to AAOSH the importance of recognizing how oral inflammation plays a part.

Learning Objectives:

  • Educate AAOSH members about the proposed test panel (A1C, hs-CRP, Lp-PLA2) and specimen collecting.
  • Provide information on how to track improvement using the panel and potential financial impact.
  • Identify the science and medical data regarding the correlation between periodontal disease and heart disease.
  • Examine detailed information on inflammation markers and why they are essential to your practice.

Jeffrey W. Young Jr. MSN, APN, FNP-BC, is the Founder and President of the Heart Attack and Stoke Prevention Alliance (HASPA). He is also the Co-Founder and COO of the Heart and Attack and Stroke Prevention Center at Skyline Cardiovascular Institute, PLC. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Premier Cardiovascular Consultants, LLC.
