This course introduces the learner to the intricate workings of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and its pivotal role in maintaining homeostasis within the nervous and immune systems, particularly in modulating inflammation. This session highlights the components and functions of the ECS, explores factors impacting its position, and examines lifestyle, dietary, and phytocannabinoid interventions to optimize ECS health for managing sustained pain.

Cheryl F. Wardlaw, PT, MMSc, CFMT, is a seasoned Physical Therapist based in Atlanta, Georgia, with a career spanning over four decades at Emory University Hospital. She holds a BS in Biology from Georgia College, a BS in Physical Therapy from Medical College of Georgia, and a Master of Medical Science degree in Neurology from Emory University. As a Lead Instructor for the Institute of Physical Art, Cheryl imparts her expertise nationwide, particularly in the Taming Pain course, currently offered via webinar through the Institute of Physical Art's platform, providing accessible education in pain management.
