Course Description:
With supplement marketing louder than ever, this course helps clinicians separate science from hype. Dr. Beattie McAliley will break down what difference the range of “biotics” actually makes in the oral cavity and offer clear tools for identifying meaningful, evidence-based benefits.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the roles of prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics in shaping the oral microbiome.
- Summarize current research on biotic-based strategies for oral wellness.
- Recognize red flags and limitations in dental supplement marketing.
Practical Applications:
- Guide patients toward options supported by research rather than brand-driven messaging.
- Identify when prebiotic or postbiotic support may be more suitable than probiotics alone.
