AAOSH in Touch: Announcing AAOSH Vote

We are pleased to announce that the results are in and the votes are scored – AAOSH members have overwhelmingly approved a resolution that changes AAOSH’s founding documents and which will strengthen AAOSH in many ways.

In addition to being in compliance with non-profit law and better meeting fiduciary responsibilities with the IRS, the changes allow for improved governance and more efficient leadership, and to be able to respond better to the changing marketplace, emerging science, and education events and opportunities. It also allows AAOSH to be more responsive to the ideas and suggestions of its members, to plan for the future and to meet current needs.

As a 501c3 organization our charter and mission is education of the public and profession(s) about oral-systemic healthcare. With revised founding documents and bylaws now appropriate for this mission, we are ready for exciting times ahead.

The road ahead is bright and allows for growth and increased leadership opportunities and responsibilities for those with a desire to be a positive and contributing part of AAOSH.
