Course Description: 

This course will help you train your teams to create and sustain oral health by effectively screening for disease risk and targeting patient health behaviors. Therapies are tracked, motivating behavioral changes and refining treatment approaches. Through chairside saliva screening, your teams can practice care-iology with heightened precision. Participants can learn by recalling and identifying the seven salivary indicators essential for describing and managing patients' oral health, mastering chairside screening techniques to assess caries risk, and promoting healthy behaviors. The course facilitates critical analysis of patient cases, fostering discussions on innovative preventive treatment options to reduce caries risk significantly.

Speaker Bio:

Erinne Kennedy, DMD, MPH, MMSc, is a graduate of Ohio State University hailing from Middleport, Ohio. She completed her dental education at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Dental Medicine in 2015, actively engaging in organized dentistry during her time there. Following dental school, Dr. Kennedy pursued a one-year general practice residency at the VA Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Passionate about community health, she became board-certified in public health dentistry after a residency at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2018. In May 2019, Erinne graduated as a pioneer student at HSDM with a Master of Medical Science in dental education. Currently practicing at Alliance Dental Center in Quincy, MA, a wellness-focused dental office, she contributes as an editor for Dental Economics and serves on the Junior Editorial board for Dental Entrepreneur Women (DeW). Dr. Kennedy is affiliated with professional organizations such as The American Dental Association, The American Association of Public Health Dentistry, The Massachusetts Dental Association, and The Academy of General Dentistry.
