Speaker Bio:

Juan F. Yepes is an associate professor in Pediatric Dentistry at Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, Indiana, and an academic scholar at the Department of Pediatric and Community Dentistry at the University at Buffalo. He holds degrees in dentistry (DDS) and medicine (MD) from Javeriana University in Colombia. Upon moving to the USA in 1999, he completed fellowships and residencies at the University of Iowa and the University of Pennsylvania, specializing in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and Oral Medicine. He obtained Master's and Doctoral degrees in Public Health (MPH, DrPH) with an emphasis on Epidemiology from the University of Kentucky. He's board-certified in Oral Medicine, Dental Public Health, and Pediatric Dentistry. With vast experience in various dental associations, Juan F.'s teaching and research focus on oral medicine, radiology, and pathology in children. He's a fellow at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and serves on the editorial board of several dental journals.
