Course Description:
The oral microbiome is more than a collection of bacteria—it’s a dynamic ecosystem whose balance or disruption plays a powerful role in oral and systemic health. In this webinar, we’ll dive into the biofilm as the foundation of oral health and explore how targeted oral probiotics can shift the microbial environment in meaningful ways. You’ll learn how specific strains can reduce pathogenic bacteria, support immune function, and restore harmony within the oral cavity. This session offers an evidence-informed, clinically applicable perspective on the future of probiotic therapy in dentistry and integrative healthcare.
Whether you’re managing patients with halitosis, periodontal disease, or recurrent infections—or simply want to improve preventive care—this session will equip you with the tools to make the biofilm work for you, not against you.
Learning Objectives:
After attending this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Describe the role of the oral biofilm in maintaining microbial balance and influencing oral health outcomes.
- Differentiate between probiotic strains based on their mechanisms of action and clinical applications in dentistry.
- Implement oral probiotic strategies in patient care to support oral and systemic health.
Practical Applications:
- Identify which patients can benefit from targeted oral probiotic supplementation based on clinical presentation.
- Integrate probiotic protocols into hygiene and periodontal treatment plans for enhanced outcomes.
- Educate patients on the oral microbiome’s role in whole-body health, offering actionable guidance for daily care.
