Course Description: 

Discover a new approach to patient engagement within dentistry, shifting from offering solutions to unresolved problems to fostering genuine ownership of one's health. This program emphasizes a departure from merely instructing patients and encourages participants to engage patients physically, mentally, and emotionally. By acknowledging and partnering with patients in their health journey, practitioners can empower individuals to make informed choices for a healthier future. Through scientifically grounded techniques, this course equips participants with practical skills to inspire patients toward elevated levels of health awareness and proactive health decisions. Participants will delve into frequency medicines, identify homeopathic remedies, and grasp fundamental scientific concepts to enhance patient understanding and engagement in their healthcare journey.

Learning Objectives:

  • Demonstrate comprehension of frequency medicines by explaining the underlying theory and identifying at least two types of frequency medicines.
  • Recall and identify at least two commonly found homeopathic remedies available in conventional pharmacies.
  • Grasp the concept of Avogadro's number and recall its specific name.

Speaker Bio:

Dr. Dawn Ewing, based in Houston, Texas, holds multiple roles: she is a naturopathic practitioner, Executive Director of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine (IABDM), and the author of Let the Tooth Be Known, now in its fourth edition. Her diverse career journey began as a dental hygienist after graduating from the University of Texas Dental School in 1988. Later, her passion for understanding the human body led her into emergency medicine, where she became a Nationally Registered Paramedic, spending years on 911 ambulances and international air ambulance transport. Her expertise expanded into teaching CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support, affiliating with the American Heart Association. Drawn back to dentistry by a biological dentist, she pursued further education, earning a doctorate in naturopathy, a PhD in holistic nutrition, and a doctorate in Integrative Medicine from the Capital University of Integrative Medicine. Dr. Ewing maintains an enthusiasm for continuous learning, exceeding the annual requirements for her licenses with over 80 hours of additional education each year.
