Course Description:

Technology strategy, as defined by Wikipedia, is the overall plan that consists of objective(s), principles, and tactics relating to the use of technologies within a particular organization. Such strategies primarily focus on the technologies themselves and, in some cases, the people who directly manage them.

The strategy can be implied from the organization’s behaviors toward technology decisions and may be written down in a document. In late September, you had the opportunity to participate in one of the most forward-thinking, technology-laden, and system-providing educational opportunities at AAOSH, St. Louis. Like similar opportunities before AAOSH or after you experience an extreme high from the energy and information packed into strategic segments of the day, you take notes, make plans, and envision the task done. You travel home, share your ideas, and put all your goals for implementation on your desk or in a file…..now what?

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize and identify AAOSH technologies.
  • Identify new ways to introduce implementation strategies to maximize them today and optimize patient care.
  • Review how technology strategies can be used to benefit overall business goals and improve ROI.
  • Identify new ways to introduce new technologies to patients without sounding like you are "selling."
