Course Description:

Practicing oral prevention continues to shift upstream with research, innovation, and practice aligning on new approaches to preventing disease.  This webinar will discuss how the saliva and oral microbiome are the starting point for preventing illness. By critically evaluating evidence-based practice, we will understand how chairside saliva screening can improve how we practice primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention.

Learning Objectives:

  • Critically evaluate the role of diagnosis, early prevention, and scientific evidence in disease management.
  • Dissect the role chairside screening plays in primary, secondary, and tertiary oral disease prevention.
  • Compare and contrast how chairside screening can be incorporated into existing community-based programs.
